Quality Mechanical Contractors LLC Company Policy on Conflict Minerals
Purpose: To ensure that our company does not purchase or use conflict minerals in the manufacturing of our components, parts, or products.
Statement: We are dedicated to responsible sourcing and firmly oppose any mining activities that contribute to conflict.
Policy:
1. Procurement from Conflict-Free Sources:
We require that all materials used in the manufacturing of our components, parts, or products containing conflict minerals are procured from conflict-free sources.
2. Supplier Expectations:
We expect our suppliers to adopt, implement, and communicate their positions and policies regarding conflict minerals to their sub-suppliers.
Where possible, suppliers should require their downstream suppliers to adopt and implement similar positions and policies.
3. Traceability and Compliance:
We expect our suppliers to work with their sub-suppliers to trace conflict minerals at least to the smelter level.
Suppliers are encouraged to use and promote a conflict minerals policy.
4. Supplier Statements:
We require a statement from each supplier confirming that their materials:
Do not contain conflict minerals, or
If they do contain conflict minerals, those minerals originate from non-conflict areas or from recycled or scrap sources.
5. Customer Assurance:
Upon request, we will provide our customers with a completed Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) and/or Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) stating that we do not use conflict minerals.
Compliance: All employees, suppliers, and sub-suppliers are expected to comply with this policy. Non-compliance may result in the termination of business relationships.
